Stumping the Vet
We went the vet this morning as both Roy & Gwen have some sores/scabbing on their foreheads. The vet discovered Roy has more sores near his front leg pits/chest area. The vet isn’t sure what they have. She took skin scrapings and looked at them under a microscope. She thinks it may be a skin infection, so they’re on antibiotics now and we need to make an appointment with a groomer to get some baths with medicated shampoo. We’re going back to the vet in 2 weeks for a follow-up. We will post some close up photos of their sores to see if anyone has any similar issues and successfully treated them.
Roy & Gwen are always a big hit at the vet. I do believe they got 5 cookies each and everyone said they were adorable! We also got complimented on how healthy they are, which is always great, since we strive to make sure they stay in good shape. The vet also said their breathing sounded great, which is always good to hear for a pug! This was our first trip to a new vet and we really liked this place a lot. We were worried we wouldn’t find a vet in Massachusetts that we liked as much as our old vet in California.

Mom knows what you mean about the vet. When she got our older sisters, she went to one vet and he was terrible. She switched to the vet she has now, and he is great. He particularly loves me. (I have no idea why, hee hee). Mom also agrees that it is important to keep us fit and trim as too many pugs are overweight and that causes heart, and other problems. You mom loves you a lot. Hope the owwies go away.

Oh no. I hope their ouchies clear up soon. I have no idea what it could be, but if they both have it, it must be bacterial or viral, yes?
