Merry Christmas!
December 23rd, 2007

Pugs like eggnog! We let them lick the cups when we were done. They stick their face into the cup as far as they can.
P.S. This is the eggnog from the store, no alcohol for the pugs!
Our Secret Santa was Roxy & Lucky! They sent us The Tao of Pug book. Roy got to meet Wilson the Pug (the star of the book) a few years ago, so it’s like we met a celebrity pug! I’m looking forward to reading it.

Gwen was tagged by Patches the Beaglier. She’s supposed to write 8 facts about herself, but she’s not good with the computer, so I will type for her.
1. When I sleep at night, I need to be under the covers curled up between human legs.
2. I have a lot of extra skin, including some flaps on my lower sides that my parents joke are “my wings.”
3. I usually have to be wherever Roy is, and I have to snuggle up beside him or on top of him.
4. I love food, food, food, food, food, and more food. I will eat everything, just give me your food.
5. Lately my favorite thing to do is chew on a knuckle bone.
6. I hate hate hate the vacuum cleaner.
7. I always want to play with the dogs that don’t want to play with me. I rarely want to play with the dogs who do want to play with me.
8. I hate hate hate going potty outside when there is snow and ice!
Gwen tags whoever else would like to do this too.
We’re finishing up our holiday cards this week. If you’d like to get one from us, please send your snail mail address to hello at royandgwen dot com.
In other news, Gwen is being more cooperative with “potty time” since it’s been warmer out and some of the snow has melted and it’s not so icy out. This is great news!
Here are some photos of the pugs sleeping in with their mom. Roy likes to spoon. Gwen likes to be under the covers.

In our previous post, we showed that Gwen does not like the snow… at all. She dislikes it so much that she seems to have forgotten that she is housebroken! We’ve tried taking her out much more frequently, but no luck, she just won’t go outside! Has anyone experienced this? What did you do? We’re not sure what to do. Also, is there a limit to how much pug paws should be outside on the snow and ice? They won’t wear booties and I don’t want them to freeze their feet.
I’m busy with finals and a crazy case of eye strain so I haven’t been getting a whole lot done. Here are at least a few photos from the weekend.

This is what Gwen thinks of it.

My parents are back and took Roy & Gwen and Uncle Jed down to the pond in town for a long walk. They were nice enough to take some photos for us.

We also received 4 more holiday cards in the mail today. It’s so nice to get mail that isn’t bills or junk!
This post also concludes NaBloPoMo. We did it! We managed to post at least once a day the entire month and it was fun. It jazzed us up to post more often, because after having the blog for more than 3 years, we got lazy with it.
